The setting
This is good cycling country and we are
close to the St Jaques de Compostelle pilgrim route that takes
you near sleepy villages where you may stumble across a flower
market or an open air concert and sometimes a country bric
a brac market.
Accommodation at L 'Oiseau Bleu
L 'Oiseau Bleu is a studio gite with a large,
comfy double sofa bed. It also has the added benefit of an
upstairs double bedroom, which has a very low ceiling. There
are steep stairs to this gallaried bedroom. Lots of very low
beams, very romantic - but mind your head!
This rustic gite is traditionally designed,
having exposed stone walls and a beamed vaulted ceiling. Contemporary
& ancient furnishings add to its comfort and charm.
You will find satellite TV and DVD in the
lounge and the kitchen is well equipped with fridge cooker
microwave and dishwasher.
There is also a luxury shower room with
a 6 jet hydro massage shower.
The lounge has 2 french doors that open
directly on to a private stone verandah, with table, chairs
and BBQ; the views here are spectacular.
The woodburner has an integral pizza oven
in case you get fed up of the BBQ.
Just beyond the pool are some tables shaded
by umbrellas from the midday sun. There are also several sun
loungers for those who want to take in some rays!

Between the Gites is a laundry room with
a washing machine, iron and ironing board, hairdryer &
baby equipment (changing mat & steriliser)
